Logistics and Compliance manager

We have a great opportunity for an experienced Logistics and Compliance Manager to join our busy team at Sweeptech

Duties to include:

Line management of our team of drivers and workshop staff.

Management of the logistics Health & Safety and enhancing a culture that is H&S conscious.

Ensure fleet is fully compliant, managing planned maintenance through agreed providers and the internal workshop.

To manage driver hours, infringements, compliance and training.

Provide direction that supports the Senior Management team in ensuring the Transport Operation runs efficiently and effectively with the ability to deliver great customer service.

Ensuring effective communication throughout the company.

Identifying opportunities to further improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Enhancement of the current logistics operational FORS scheme

 

Personal Specification:

The successful applicant will have:

  • National and International CPC holder
  • IOSH holder
  • HGV licence holder
  • ADR experience (desirable)
  • Experienced in transport /Logistics
  • Experience of working in an operations environment where the highest levels of safety and performance go hand in hand.
  • Knowledge of logistics compliance
  • Experience of P&L and budget control
  • Good communication skills and be able to engage at all levels

Our business operating hours are 8.00am – 6.00pm Monday – Friday. Your working week will be based on 50 hours.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £37,000.00 to £41,000.00 year depending on experience and skills

 

HGV Technician

Salary: £30,000pa basic plus overtime available

Hours/shifts: Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm, Saturday work is possible but not obligatory.

Job Role

A vacancy has arisen for an LGV/HGV workshop technician within the service department at our main depot in Henfield in West Sussex. The overall purpose of this role is to repair and maintain a mixture of LGV vehicles and plant including Articulated Waste Collection Vehicles, Road Sweepers and tankers.

Key job areas are servicing and MOT preparation, body repairs and basic fault finding.

The successful candidate will be an experienced fitter with chassis and MOT preparation experience. Previous experience of working on Road Sweepers is desirable but we will send you on a course if not known. Basic welding, hydraulic and electrical skills are essential. It would be beneficial but not essential if the applicants held a valid HGV licence. Apprenticeship papers or proof of qualification by experience is essential.

The ideal candidate will be a team player, who is able to work to tight deadlines, pays attention to detail and is customer focused.

The role will require a flexible approach to hours as overtime may be required dependant on the job and the role will include attending breakdowns when necessary.

Road Sweeper Driver

There is an opportunity to join a fast growing waste management company located in West Sussex for a Road Sweeper Driver.

The successful candidate will be driving and operating a Road Sweeper and your duties will include sweeping of customer sites. liaising with clients, workshop and office. No experience is necessary, full training will be given.

A current clean HGV 2 licence is essential. CPC is mandatory. References need to be provided.

Ideally the candidate will be 25 with a minimum of 2 years driving experience.

CCTV Drain technician / engineer

We have a great opportunity for an experienced CCTV Drain technician to join our busy team at Sweeptech

 

The role of the CCTV Drain technician will involve carrying out CCTV surveys to ascertain causes of blocked drains and if any remedial work needs to carried out. This will also involve mapping drains for our clients We are looking for a person that can

  • Communicate with new and existing clients
  • Provide a first class service and be an ambassador for Sweeptech
  • Produce accurate and high quality reports
  • Willing to work evenings, weekends and overtime as required
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties as required.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure

Essential

  • 1+ years CCTV experience
  • Full UK clean Driving Licence
  • Have the ability to work unsupervised.
  • High standard of communication skills, both written and oral
  • High attention to detail
  • Time management and strong organisational skills

Desirable

  • Minor grounds work experience
  • Knowledge of using Minicam equipment
  • Knowledge of Wincan software
  • High pressure water jetting certificate
  • CSCS card
  • Confined Space Entry – or CP2
  • City & Guilds Chapter 8 – signing and guarding

This is a full time post (50hrs). Monday to Friday with occasional weekends as when and required by the business.

Site/Yard Operatives

We have a great opportunity for Site Operatives to join our busy team at Sweeptech

We are looking for 2 site operatives to assist in our processing plant and site based in Henfield. This is a key role within the organisation

Job Purpose:

To carry out recycling operative tasks at Sweeptech recycling plant and site  .

Duties:

  • To ensure the health and safety of all members of the public, visitors, staff and contractors at the site.
  • Ensure that materials on site are recycled and processed
  • To assist the site with manual labour and other site tasks
  • To assist with the picking on the production belt
  • To ensure the site stays safe,compliant and clean

Skills, Knowledge & Experience:

  • Experience of a waste operation
  • Ability to communicate effectively within a team and with the general public
  • Work on own initiative as well as part of a team
  • Reliable, punctual and customer orientated
